In the beginning
So, here I am starting a blog. Oh what to say.....
I guess firstly a little about me. I am very blessed. I have a wonderful husband and a beautiful son, both are the absolute loves of my life. I have a wonderful family and a fantastic circle of friends who are more like family than friends.
I have always loved taking photos. I can remember dressing up my little cousin R in dance costumes and taking photos of her using mum and dad’s big clunky black camera when I was only 10 or so. Anne Geddes was my hero & when I grew up, I wanted to be able to take beautiful photos of babies, just like her.
My passion has since been re-ignited since the birth of my son L. I'm very lucky because he quite fancies having his photo taken & is as the sweetest little pumpkin there is. Having L has made me realise how important it is to have photos. Photos are a beautiful way to help cherish memories and capture your child’s innocence as they grow.
We had the best photographer come to our house when L was 5 weeks old and take our first "proper" family photos. I had been dying for this moment as this lady knows how to use a camera. I knew the photos she took for us would be a wonderful keepsake and just couldn't wait to see them. Of course I wasn't dissappointed, D and I were moved to tears when we saw our images for the first time.
I want to be able to do this for people too. I love photography, I love babies & children and I'm in a wonderfully fabulous place right now.
